Yesterday, we watched the 89th Academy Award ceremony in my room. We all had a good time watching the awards while sharing our opinions about movies. I hope to see you all at the next wing program!
Cash me in the PAC, howbow dat? Yesterday, Southwest Hall hosted a FNC in the PAC where we had many neighborhood games. These games included volleyball, dodgeball, basketball and various forms of tag. I hope those of you who were able to attend were inspired to get active at the program and stay active after it.
Yesterday, our hall got together to watch a childhood cinematic favorite: The Goonies. This was a part of our new hall initiative with suite forum. Every other week on Wednesday, we will be holding a program and a short meeting featuring a CPR report and an RHA report so the residents in our building can be aware of what is going on across our campus. Be sure to check your emails regularly to stay up-to-date on what our next program will be.
Hey friends, I know that most of you couldn’t make it to the United We Stand speaker last night, but I wanted to tell you about it. Monti Washington came to our university to talk about following your life’s calling and achieving your goals both in your future careers and in your personal lives. He also talked about how everyone goes through things in their life, but we are not the stories that occur in our lives. We can succeed in spite of these challenges.
I hope you all like the new bulletin board I put up in the lobby. It is called the “Proud RA Fridge”. It will give everyone in the building the opportunity to be recognized by their great accomplishments throughout the semester. Being recognized for your accomplishments is a great way to boost your confidence and to feel good about yourself.
I hope that all of you who were able to make it to the super bowl party today had a good time. It was wonderful to be able to spend time together and watch the biggest professional football game of the season with friends.
