Every Wednesday in November, Southwest Hall’s Facebook Page had a post about your life after graduation. From budgets to grad school, we talked about it all. With so many of Southwest Hall’s students graduating each semester, it seemed like it would be a good addition to the page. Only a couple weeks to go before our graduates are off to their post-grad lives. I hope these posts helped you learn a little bit about yourselves and what you can do to prepare for graduation. Good luck!
Hey friends, I hope you all enjoyed the Distinguished Lecturer today. If you were not able to attend, this year’s distinguished lecturer was retired Colonel Eileen Collins. Col. Collins was the first woman to pilot and command an American spacecraft. I hope her story has inspired you all to find what makes you feel happy and accomplished and go for it. Follow your dreams no matter how silly you may think they are.
Hey friends, welcome to Southwest 1 West. This semester’s theme is the magical world of Harry Potter. To kick off the semester, I have put up a bulletin board that can help you all decide which Hogwarts house you are in. Each house has different qualities that make individuals more likely to succeed in the house. With this board, can place yourself in the house of your choice using your personalized clothespin, once everyone has placed their clothespin, I will be making everyone door decorations so you can proudly represent your house. I hope you enjoy it.
Hey everyone, I just wanted to draw your attention to the new decorations in our hallway. It just shows some different things that a person can be, but it shows that the most important thing for a person to be is themselves. It is very important to be yourself. I hope you enjoy!
Thank you for coming to the holiday tree lighting, it was a wonderful experience to see so many clubs and organizations coming together to decorate the tree. I hope that you all learned more about our campus and the many clubs and organizations. Also I hope it inspired you to possibly join a new club.
Hey all, I hope everyone enjoyed the One Love movies viewing and discussion that Angela, Alex G, and I put on tonight. I would like to give a big thank you and shoutout to the Prevention and Education Coordinator, Harrison Chapman for his help facilitating the discussion. It was very eye opening to see the video and hear your reactions. I hope that seeing the real dangers of domestic violence among college age individuals has opened your eyes about being an active bystander to prevent these tragedies.
